MIXING LINKS: THE MONKEES ON DISC is a forthcoming book compiled by Derek Miner and Craig Smith focusing on the complete Monkees US discography on 45, LP, CD, lossless/hi-res downloads, DVD and BD (around 300 entries), and extensive notes on every mix of every song in the Monkees catalog - around 900 variations of nearly 270 tracks. Aside from this, there will be a section on the audio featured in the initial television series run and summer 1967 repeat episodes in staggering detail.
Those who are familiar with the site MONKEESMIXOGRAPHY (upon which this work will build on) have an idea of what to expect, but for this book we are starting fresh and researching everything from square one - every mix of every song will be noted, with details on where to find each. This is a Monkees book unlike any other.
Converting a website to printed material requires a lot of adjustment, and we are pretty confident that this will be the definitive book on the US discography of The Monkees, complete with many lists and appendices that should satisfy even the fan most attentive to detail.
